happened in riverside at about 1:30 this morning. police told us that two officers on routine patrol, riverside police officers, were ambushed by the suspect dorner. now, separate from that, earlier this evening, in corona, california or earlier last evening, i should say, an lapd officer on patrol, apparently leaving the freeway. this is according to the lapd, was shot, grazed in the head. if you look at the manifesto from dorner, we can call this a hit list of lapd officers, who he was upset with. basically, it's believed that he is now trying to exact a measure of revenge against all of the people who somehow angered him. and in reading the manifesto, he alluded to being fired. he said terminating me for telling the truth about a caucasian officer kicking a mentally ill person is disgusting. a mentally ill man. a lot of other clues in the manifesto. he was talking about some of his military background, and he said that, you are aware i was always the top shot and the highest scorer and expert in rifle qualifications in every unit. and he goes on to say, i will utilize every bit of

in that case is no longer with us. >> when you say that officers aren't feeling great here, some of them, is it because of doubt that it's over? >> well, again, if it were your family that was placed in jeopardy, not knowing for certain that the person that was threatening your family is no longer around and the threat no longer exists, that's a concern. and so there are some families who are literally traumatized and they have young children. they have people who have schools that their kids go to and there's great fear still, so that's a trauma that they're going to have to recover from. everywhere. that is what john sibley has seen in hattiesburg. he jones us on the telephone. i'm here with our meteorologist chad myers. tell us what you saw. >> reporter: i picked up the tornado out of marion county, mississippi. there was initial report that came out of their emergency management agency that a tornado had indeed touched down and struck several homes, injuring several people. from there, i was able to pick it up about 10 miles to the west of hattiesburg. the storm was larger on the western side of the interstate than the eastern side. we've been able to go through and look at our video. now, the folks in west hattiesburg, i didn't hear sirens over there, but as we moved toward the college campus. the sirens were loud and proud. also want to give a shout out to the local fire department. as the tornado was paralleling highway # 8 and moving into the city. they were out there blocking traffic to keep folks from driving into the tornado as well as police out on the interstate. they had the interstate blocked for a time. >> chad myers, just amazing video we're watching here. what

everywhere. that's what this storm chaser has seen in hattiesburg. he's joning us on the telephone. john, i am here as well with our meteorologist chad myers. tell us what you saw. >> good evening, breanna. i originally picked up the tornado as it met out of marion county, mississippi. there was an initial report that came out of their emergency management that the tornado had struck several homes and people. from there i was able to pick it up about ten miles to the west of hattiesburg and tracked it into town. the tornado itself on the west side of the interstate was indeed larger than the eastern side of the interstate. we've been able to go back and look at our video in the last couple of hours since the tornado moved through at about 5:10 p.m. central time. i didn't hear sirens over there but as we moved into the downtown area towards the college campus, those sirens were loud and proud. i also want to give a shout out to the local fire department. as the tornado was paralleling highway 98 and moving into the city, they were out there blocking traffic to keep folks from driving into th

, he alleged 3 threatened to use his navy training to harm police officers involved in the case and their families. quoting here, i will bring unconventional and a symmetrical warfare to those in lapd uniform weather on or off duty. now an irvine couple is shot to death in the parking deck of their upscale complex. the victims are monica quan and her fiance. her father, randy was a retired cop who worked with dorner. inside night, police name christopher jordan dorner the chief suspect in the sunday night murders. police warees erous. dorner is say reservist known to be a skilled marksman. thursday around 1:30 in the morning, ktla reports doerner is spotted in corona. two police officers are in purr cute when dorner gets out of the truck and starts firing. one was grazed and the other not hurt. dorner flees. then a short time later, another shooting involving cops. this time in riverside. police say two officers on routine patrol are shot after being ambushed at an intersection. one officer is dead and another critically wounded. authorities are linking both shootings to dorner.

bostonians are. certainly they and new englanders are used to huge nor'easters and blizzards like this. 35 years ago, you had the storm of '78, when they had more than 27 inches. this could rival those record amounts. we'll have to see what happens. but as of now, noontime is zero hour. a snow emergency has gone into effect and now people are being told that's it, get off the streets. if your car is there, it's going to ghettet towed. so certainly if take you a look at the store shelf, they are empty. it is clear that people have been fwg out within the last 24, 48 hours since these warnings began. buying all kinds of essential supplies, including nonperishable foods, water, batteries flashlight, maybe portable radios, make egg sure their batteries are charged, making slur they have cash on hand, making sure that they have their tanks filled up with gas. and of course all kinds of snow equipment also is at the ready. they have more than 43,000 tons of salt ready to hit the road. so people here are bracing for that big storm and as you can see, the snow is not too bad right now. it's not ex

to confirm, a, that the body inside that cabin is christopher dorner. tell us how soon we'll know that confirmation, and walk us through what you think happened in the last final hours before that cabin burned down. >> reporter: yeah, they're going to have to go through forensic tests to confirm 100%, but we are quite certain it is mr. dorner. every official we speak to on or off the record is saying it is mr. dorner in there. there are local reports here in big bear that they found the license of mr. dorner in that cabin, as well. we also had it quite early on last night from federal officials that it was, in fact, mr. dorner, as well. so i think there is a sigh of relief, at least across san bernardino that has ramped down its man hunt for christopher dorner. they've taken down all road blocks, they did last night, it's very clear they do believe it is -- they have their man at this point. we probably won't know for perhaps some hours, perhaps days as to whether or not it is. really depends on whether they can get dental records for him and confirm it that way. >> and miguel, re
